A report released by market consultancy CBInsights shows that since 2011, M&A deals in AI (artificial intelligence) have increased sevenfold. Of these, the majority of startups were acquired within four years of funding.AI startups generated widespread interest in 2016, attracting $1.05 billion in funding in the third quarter. Tech giants are investing more in AI research and development in order to benefit from the megatrend of transitioning to the digital marketplace.
